Some browsers need to be configured to support advanced web applications such as wMobile.

 

BlackBerry Configuration

We have found that some BlackBerry browsers need to be configured to turn on support for HTML tables, Java scripts and CSS style sheets. Here is how to perform these configurations on a BlackBerry:

 

special_conf_add_bookmark

The BlackBerry browser application starts you in a bookmarks page. To add a bookmark:

Click the scroll wheel
Scroll down to and click on Add Bookmark
Type the name of the bookmark 'wMobile'
Type the web address given to you by your wMobile administrator
Click Add

Scroll and click on the selections for:

Support HTML Tables
Use Foreground and Background colors
Support Java Script
Support Style Sheets
Emulation Mode

 

configuration  CONFIGURATION NOTE: BlackBerry users may need to change the Emulation Mode to Microsoft IE for the best display quality.

 

Palm Treo Configuration

On a Palm Treo, ensure that your browser is set to Wide Page Mode. This is configured by pressing your application menu button (see image that follows) while in the browser, selecting the Options menu and then selecting Wide Page Mode.
