How To Verify IIS Is Installed

This check is performed on the Web Server.

To check to see if IIS is installed, do the following:

•	For All Versions of Windows

1.	Click Start and then click Run.

2.	In the Open box, type Regedit and then click OK.

3.	Look for the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\InetStp\VersionString

4.	If the registry key is present, then IIS is installed.

•	For Windows 2008 (All Editions)

When installing IIS on Windows 2008, some components required for wMobile to work are not installed by default. If you are installing wMobile on a Windows 2008 Server, review the Additional IIS Requirements for Windows 2008 (All Editions) link under See Also.
