How To Verify IIS Is Installed
This check is performed on the Web Server.
To check to see if IIS is installed, do the following:
| • | For All Versions of Windows |
| 1. | Click Start and then click Run. |
| 2. | In the Open box, type Regedit and then click OK. |
| 3. | Look for the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\InetStp\VersionString |
| 4. | If the registry key is present, then IIS is installed. |
| • | For Windows 2008 (All Editions) |
When installing IIS on Windows 2008, some components required for wMobile to work are not installed by default. If you are installing wMobile on a Windows 2008 Server, review the Additional IIS Requirements for Windows 2008 (All Editions) link under See Also.
