| • | Downloading and Installing MDAC 2.8 for Windows 2000 Professional or Server NOTE: Installing MDAC 2.8 will require a server restart before the wMobile installation can continue, |
If you do not have MDAC 2.8 installed, follow these instructions to download and install the package from Microsoft.
| 1. | Download MDAC 2.8 from Microsoft: MDAC 2.8 NOTE: Product Validation may be required. Follow the instructions on the webpage to validate your copy of Windows 2000 and proceed with the download. |
| 2. | Click the Download button. |
| 3. | Save the mdac_typ.exe file to the computer. |
| 4. | Double-click the mdac_typ.exe file. |
| 5. | Click the checkbox next to I accept... |
| 6. | Click Next. |
| 7. | Click Finish. NOTE: Installation will take between 5-10 minutes, depending on your computer. |
| 8. | When prompted that the installation is complete, determine whether you will allow the setup program to restart your computer or if you will restart it later. |
| 9. | Click Finish. |
