Installing IIS on Windows 2000 Professional or Server (Service Pack 4)

   NOTE:  You will need to have a copy of your Windows 2000 Installation CD in order to successfully install IIS.
 

1.Click Start and navigate to the Control Panel.

 

2.Double-click on Add or Remove Programs.

 

3.In the Add or Remove Programs window, click Add/Remove Windows Components.

 

4.In the Windows Component Wizard window, click the empty box next to Internet Information Services.

 

5.Click the Details button.

 

6.In the Internet Information Services window, Uncheck the box next to SMTP Service.

 

7.Click OK.

 

8.In the Windows Component Wizard window, click Next.

 

9.When prompted, insert your Windows 2000 Installation CD and click OK.
NOTE:  You may be prompted several times to insert your installation CD, if the CD is already inserted, simply click OK.

 

10.When prompted, click Finish.
