Installing IIS on Windows 2008 (All Editions)(32-bit or 64-bit Editions)

 

1.Click Start and navigate to the Control Panel.

 

2.Double-click on Programs and Features.

 

3.In the Programs and Features window, click Turn Windows features on or off.

 

4.In the Server Manager window, select Roles.

 

5.Click Add Roles.

 

6.In the Add Roles Wizard window, click Next.

 

7.Click Web Server (IIS).  When prompted, click Add Required Features.

 

8.Click Next.

 

9.Click Next.

 

10.From the Role Services list, select the following:
  NOTE:  When selecting some features, additional role services will be required.  When prompted, click Add Required Role Services.
 -  ASP.NET

 -  ASP
       -  Basic Authentication

       -  Windows Authentication

       -  Digest Authentication

       -  Client Certificate Mapping Authentication

       -  IIS Client Certificate Mapping Authentication

       -  Request filtering

       -  IP and Domain Restrictions

       -  IIS 6 Management Compatibility

 

11.In the Add Roles Wizard window, click Next.

 

12.In the Add Roles Wizard window, Click Install.

 

13.When prompted, click Close.
