Checking If .Net Is Installed

This check is performed on the GoldMine Server and the Web Server. .NET Framework 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5 SP1 are required. The wMobile installer will install the .NET Framework 3.5 if it is not already installed. The .NET Framework 3.5 installer includes .NET Framework v2.0, v3.0, and v3.5.

To check which versions of .Net are installed, do the following on each server:

•	For Windows 2003 (32 bit Editions) and Windows 2008 (32 bit Editions)

1.	Browse to the C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\ folder. There will be a folder for each installed version.

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\ (.NET 2.0 is a prerequisite for .NET 3.5)

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.0\

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1\

•	For Windows 2003 (64 bit Editions) and Windows 2008 (64 bit Editions)

2. On a 64 bit operating system, these folders should be present in both the C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\ folder and C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\ folder. Browse to the C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\folder. There will be a folder for each installed version.
